Ways We Can Work Together
Every farm welcomes guests in its own way, so Rooted Hospitality offers several services to help farms create guest experiences that feel natural, welcoming, and true to the land.
Farm Stay Experience Design
Farm stays offer a unique opportunity to welcome visitors onto the land and share the rhythm of farm life. Through Farm Stay Experience Design, I work with farms to thoughtfully plan guest stays that feel natural, welcoming, and aligned with the farm’s daily rhythm. Together we explore elements such as the guest arrival experience, hospitality touches, seasonal activities, and the overall flow of a stay. The goal is to create an experience that guests remember long after they leave while supporting the farm’s mission and creating meaningful additional income.
Farm Retreat & Event Design
Farms can be beautiful spaces for gatherings that bring people together around food, nature, and learning. With Farm Retreat and Event Design, I help farms create meaningful experiences such as farm dinners, workshops, seasonal gatherings, or small retreats. These events are thoughtfully planned to reflect the farm’s values and make the most of the land and spaces available. The result is an experience that feels authentic to the farm while creating opportunities to welcome new visitors and build community.
Agritourism Experience Review
For farms that already host guests or events, an Agritourism Experience Review offers a fresh perspective on the visitor experience. I review your current offerings and provide thoughtful recommendations for improving guest flow, hospitality details, and overall experience design. This may include suggestions for simple additions that enhance the guest stay while remaining realistic for the farm’s schedule and capacity. The goal is to help farms strengthen what they are already doing and create an experience that feels even more welcoming and memorable.
Where this work began…
Hi, I’m Kalli, the founder of Rooted Hospitality. My background is in hospitality, tourism, and event planning, and I’ve always loved creating spaces where people feel welcomed and cared for. Some of my favorite experiences early in my career were working in small bed and breakfasts, where I cooked breakfast for guests, baked fresh bread in the mornings, and arranged flowers from the garden for the dining tables. Those simple moments showed me how powerful thoughtful hospitality can be in creating memorable stays.
Over the years I’ve continued working in hospitality and guest experience, helping run Airbnbs and small accommodations while also planning events and hosting international wellness retreats. These experiences taught me how meaningful it can be when guests are invited into a place with intention, whether it is a shared meal, a beautiful landscape, or a quiet moment on a porch overlooking the land.
At the same time, I have always felt a deep respect for farmers and the important work they do. I am especially passionate about supporting local and regenerative agriculture and helping more people experience where their food comes from. Rooted Hospitality grew from the idea that farms have an incredible opportunity to welcome guests in ways that are both meaningful and sustainable.
Today I work with farms to design thoughtful agritourism experiences, from cozy farm stays to retreats and gatherings that connect visitors with the land while creating additional income for the farm. My goal is to help farms share their work, their land, and their stories in ways that feel natural, welcoming, and deeply rooted in hospitality.
